Dihua Street
Dihua Street (Mandarin: 迪化街, Hanyu Pinyin: dí huà jiē) is a historic street located in the Datong district of Taipei, Taiwan. The street was established in the 1850s and has served as an important commercial area ever since. The area is known for its stores selling Chinese medicine ingredients, tea leaves, fabrics, and dry goods, and is frequented by both wholesale and retail customers year round. In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, the street is transformed into a massive New Year's Market where families go to shop for gifts and ingredients.
